Easy Side Hustles for Photographers to Make Passive Income

This was my second newsletter that went out, but I wanted to share it as a blog post as well. Here are some easy side hustles that you can do as a photographer. I tried to think of ways that you could generate income from home or from the space you already work, or while you're sleeping/doing other work.

1) If you have a studio, rent it out on peerspace or AirBnb for photoshoots when you're not using it. Make sure your landlord approves and short term rental permits are obtained if necessary. If you don't, try renting your gear to other photographers who may need something you have and they don't!

2) Sell stock photos on Shutterstock. Here's my referral code, it helps me make a commission: https://submit.shutterstock.com/?rid=473610253 This is free to join, and you can use images and videos that you already have. You'll make passive income when they're downloaded, meaning this could be money you earn in your sleep.

3) Create and sell your own presets with Adobe to help other photographers with their editing. You can do black and white, sepia, golden hour effect. This is known as a digital product, which is another way to make passive income.

4) Write an ebook on your niche in photography and sell it on Gumroad. Again, this is a way to make money in your sleep. Do some promotional videos for Instagram and TikTok to promote it.

5) Write engaging threads posts that spark a discussion- threads pays creators that go viral.
